We don’t know much about these new XEEN’s other than:
- 114mm front diameter
- Weigh between 1.9kg and 2.3kg
- 35, 50, and 85mm
- Consistent focus and aperture ring locations
- PL, Sony E, and Canon EF Mounts
- Price not released (we are guessing $4000ish each)
Then there is the XEEN Anamorphic 50mm T2.3 which is a big boy:
- 3.9kg (8.6lbs)
- 2X stretch
- Can produce 2.55:1
Samyang AF 24-70mm F2.8 FE Lens Reviews
While the Samyang AF 24-70mm F2.8 FE is an autofocus photography lens, it made several concessions for video. First, as you can see above, there is a cine kit option. Secondly, it’s parfocal. Thirdly, there is manual focus override, and lastly, there is step-less aperture control.
Samyang 24-70mm F2.8 AF and Parfocal Lens for Sony FE
We hope Samyang releases a manual focus version of this lens eventually. Regardless, it’s nice to see competition in the 24-70mm range, and the fact this lens is parfocal should make it stand out to filmmakers.
